CHERin' it up.

Last Monday, me and Nicole did a Cher Lloyd-inspired photoshoot. I really had fun in this shoot mainly because it's inspired by ONE OF MY FAVORITE SINGERS, Cher Lloyd (HIHIHI, fan girl moment) and also I get to bond with Nicole whom I won't be able to see/ talk/ bond with for a couple of months since she'll be studying in another university. At first there was a problem with the background. Since my room isn't that spacious and doesn't have a solid colored wall, we decided to put up drapes. But that kinda failed since the string wasn't able to hold the cloth for a long period of time. So we decided to tape the cloth on my closet, but the problem was, it was too short so we had to look for more cloths so that it could at least cover the parts that are needed to be covered such as my mirror, closet handle, etc.
Well, I hope you guys like the photos and the effects I added on the photos. :) (yey for photoshop!) Please doooo comment if you think I should improve on something! :) Your suggestions and comments will be highly appreciated. :) Thank you!

Singing In The Rain

 Hey loves!
How's the week so far? Hope you guys are having a pretty fun one! Anyway, I just want to share with you guys one of my favorite scenes from "Singing In the Rain", which is like one of my favorite old movies. :)
I just really adore this scene, plus the song and also the way Gene Kelly sang this song. I really looove it!

One fact about this scene: The rain consisted of a mixture of water and milk so it would show up better on film but it caused Gene Kelly's wool suit to shrink.(from www.imdb.com)

Well, I hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I do! :) Enjoy the rest of you week! :)

Snappin' Subic

Every summer, my parents+their clinic & house staff go for a summer outing at one of the beaches at Subic. It was a really fun summer getaway especially that 2 of my friends came with me this year. Even if our skins got burnt to the nth degree, I still kinda enjoyed it. Especially when we went shell-hunting and got "slapped" by the waves. :)
Anyway, here are some of the photos I took from my phone.
Hope you like it! :)
 Have a greaaaat weekday :)

WTJ#1, 2 and 3

Woohoo! Third post of the day! *I feel so accomplished, haha*
I'm sooo excited to show to you guys what I've been doing to my WTJ these past weeks. (Yes, the photos that you are about to see are done for a min. of 1 week.)
So for my WTJ project #1: THE COVER
Well, as you can see, it's not yet done. But more or less it's going to look like that only with more color and details and stuff. :) hihi.
materials used: masking tape (loads of them), markers, and correction pen.

WTJ project #2: COLOR THIS ENTIRE PAGE
Super loooooove this page! NEON PINK+BLACK+WHITE. :)
materials used: pink/ silver glitter glue, pink poster paint, correction pen and black marker.

WTJ project #3:  COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES
Okay, okay. I kinda failed in this page. I accidentally colored some of the triangles black and if you look closely, some of the triangles have paint stains on them...so yeaaah, kinda failed on this one. But I still adore this page! I really liked how the paint merged together in the lower part of the page. hihi. So proud of this one! Except for the black triangles :<
materials used: pink and yellow poster paint, black marker, gold glitter glue. :)

Please do comment if you think I need to improve on something, like shading or merging 2 colors or something. ahaha. Thank you, thank you so so sooo much!

The Blog Project #6

(First photo; left-right: Robert, Geraldine, Charles, Rachelle, Hans, Me, Kim, Jemilie, Lance, Irben.
Second Photo; left-right; guys: Robert, Irben, Hughes(not really a part of the Extended Nameless), Lance, Kevin(also not a part of the Extended Nameless). girls: Rachelle, Jemilie, Nicole, Me, Geraldine) *whew* that's a looot.

Sorry. :( I know it has been a really long time ever since my last Blog Project post, but as I always say in my posts, It's better late than never, riiight?
Moving on, obviously there are two photos in this post. The reason for such is because we don't have a COMPLETE photo together. We do have 1 complete photo but it's no where to be found, so instead I combined 2 photos so that it's gonna be "complete". Okay so I want you guys to meet my Extended Nameless barkada. Why "Extended Nameless" you ask? Extended because the guys aren't from my school but from the school next it, which is Xavier. Nameless because, we couldn't think of a name to name our group, so instead we named ourselves the Extended Nameless. (yeaaaah, I know its weird haha)
Even if we have a really weird name, I will surely miss these lovely people (except for the guys..hoho kidding). This year, we rarely bond as a group. We only get to meet up during debuts, surprise parties or school events like the school fair, graduation ball and the like. I really miss our bonding sessions last year. If I remember it correctly, they were the first group whom I played bowling with and it was super fun! I'll also miss planning surprises with them esp. those surprise performances, like what we did for a friend's debut and what they did for my debut. :) I'm really glad that I came to know these people, even if some of them are a bunch of gay baboons (THE GUYS), they added a little thrill and splatter in my life.

A buffet of dreams.

Hey loves! :)
I just want to share with you guys some of the photos that has been hanging around my Pinterest dashboard for quite some time now. I hope these photos will more or less inspire you to do something crazy or creative today/ tomorrow/ later/ whenever. :) haha.

Have a magical and dreamy weekday everybody! :)

Things I love

Hey loves! :)
I just got back from a 2-day; 1 night family trip to Laguna. It was a really tiring yet fantastic trip. It was surely the perfect way to end the weekend. (Photos to be uploaded on Friday.) I also had the chance to scribble some ideas on my "blog notebook". :) I can't wait to post all of those ideas and share them with you guys. Anyway, despite my body's urge to rest and lie down on my soft soft bed, I decided to blog and share with you guys this sunday's "Things I love" list. :)
Hope you guys like  LOVE it!
one:  I LOVE THE COLOR OF THIS BAG! I really wish I could find a similar bag for collegeeee! :o (speaking of which, I only have 2-3 weeks left before my FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE staaarts. OMG :o *panic-mode*)
two: I super love the color of both pants! :) Esp. the one on the left, which has a tie-dye effect on it. :)
three: I really wish this comes out! Food's gonna be MORE MAGICAL with this "cookbook". :) I wonder if they have a legit Butterbeer recipe in it. :-?
four: SHARPIE+GLITTERS=I WANT ONE SET, NOW!!!! <<< I think that kinda explains it. :)
five: This photo got me thinking of another photoshoot idea....hmmm...very interesting. :)
six: Double-exposuuure. :) I've been playing around with this "classic toy" iPad app recently that has a double-exposure effect on it. hihi. I really hope I have a REAL toy cam. that can give off a double exposure effect. :) SO COOL.

Under Construction

Hi loves!
Sorry if I wasn't able to update you guys with new posts lately. :( I've been busy with updating my blog layout and stuff. :) As you can see, I'm nearly done with the new layout! Just a few more buttons and everything will be back to normal! I'm really excited with the new things that I'll be putting in my blog. As I mentioned in my previous post, there'll be new buttons and more posts containing my personal life. To make up for my short absence, here's a video that I want to show/ share with you guys.

It's a music video of Honor Society's Spread the Love.
This song inspired me to inspire others in my own way. I hope that through my blog, I'll be able to inspire you guys to bring out that creativity and uniqueness in you. All of us are creative in our own way and it's up to us to develop that creativity that was given us. Another reason why I want to share this song is because of the message of this song. Only a number of songs have depth in their lyrics, and this is one of them.
I hope you check out the new things in my blog once they're done. I'm really looking forward to this new start in my blogging journey. I'm pretty sure that with you guys, my blogging journey will surely be a colorful and wonderful one. :)

It's makeover time!

One of the reasons why I started blogging is to document my summer shindigs and to occupy those days when I'm alone in my house with nothing left to do but to bum out. Now that summer's about to end and college will start in a few weeks, I won't be able to update much nor will I be able change the layout of my blog. So, I've decided that today I shall give my blog a whole new look with more buttons and topics that I'm sure I'll be able to update once in a while. It's kinda sad that I have to let go of some of my buttons like summer '12 , photo challengeinspirational mondays and tuned-up wednesdays, but rest assured that more buttons will be added like Wrecking Adventures, iPhoned Fridays, My College Chronicles and Random Ramblings. Also, "THE WALL" page will not be "THE WALL" anymore, but will now be "PLAYLIST" which will be similar to tuned-up wednesdays but will be updated maybe once a month. ALSO, my blog will not be called "La Vie Boheme" anymore but will now be called as "Cirque De La Vie" since it will contain more about my personal life and my experiences in college and in the real world. Blogging about boho stuff and having a boho vibe kind of blog is something that I'll surely miss. :'(
So, those are just some of the changes that I'll be making in my blog. It will be a more personal kind of blog compared to the blog right now. Well, I hope you guys will look forward to the new changes in my blog. I really don't want to change anything here, but I fear that I won't be able to keep up much now that I'll be in college with very tedious subjects. I hope you guys understand! :( So, in a few hours this blog will be a tad bit different from what it is right now. :(
La Vie Boheme, loves! :)

Photoshop discoveries: Light leaks and tilt-shifts.

Ever wondered how to create a light leak effect without using any actions on photoshop? How about a tilt shift effect? :)
So, here are some very helpful tutorials I found on youtube.
Light leak effect: click me!
Tilt shift effect: click me!
and here are the "results" of the photos I used to try the tutorials. :)
Soft light action+light leak & tilt shift from the tutorials.

Soft light action+RR2 action+Light leak that I made. hihi :")

Capturing the "Rainbow".

Yesterday I was experimenting with my camera. At first I didn't know what photos to take. I attempted to take photos of my dog, but then she kept on moving and smelling my camera. I also tried to take a photo of my planner, but then it's kinda empty and really boring. Then suddenly, I saw a paper rose standing out in my living room. Right then and there I thought "why not take photos of the colors of the rainbow?" So from there, I started to take photos of reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues and violets (no indigo :( )
At first, it was hard to take really neat photos since I'm not really good in photography, but then after numerous trials, I found out some techniques that I thought can never be done in my camera.
I really had fun taking these photos. I might do more of these in the next months. :) Maybe by that time I get to take tons of photos of my dog. :) That would be one sweet accomplishment.

La vie la wedding, boho style.

I did mention I love anything, everything boho, right? :)
I was checking out this wedding site (http://greenweddingshoes.com) for DIY inspirations for this summer. Just to clarify things out, I'm not looking for wedding inspirations, maybe I will in the future but definitely not now. So, while I was looking at some photos, I came across a phrase "Bohemian Wedding Inspiration". When I saw the photos on that post, I knew I had to share it with you guys.
So, here are just some of the many many lovely boho photos that I saw from the site.
Hope you guys like it. :)
Have a lovely tuesday, loves! :)

A blast from the past.

I used to make typograhies and word art when my photoshop was still in awesome shape. :)) I experiment with various brushes, colors, fonts, and so much more. I really miss making these things. Although they're not really as nice and as pretty as to those works of people who really master this kind of art, I'm really proud of these things that I made and I hope that you guys appreciate them as well. :)
I think this is my first "word art". :)
words came from the song "Superman" by Joe Brooks
You don't really need to be good in Photoshop in order to make these kinds of things. With a curious mind and creative spirit, you'll be able to make these (most prolly more gorgeous ones than these) in no time. :)
Well, I hope you guys have an inspired Monday! :)

Things I love

Hey guys!
sorry if I haven't been updating my blog lately. :( huhu. I've been pretty busy with this surprise party that my friends and I prepared for two of our friends. haha. I know it's kinda a day late already...but then again, it's better late than never, right? :) huhu.
So moving on, as you can see, I've spotted 8 things I like, all coming from Pinterest. :))

1:  I super love the intricate designs and bead work of  this necklace by OOAKjewelz. It's sooo boho.
2: Okay. this is just soooooo coool! I mean, I could never imagine that you could actually use glow sticks as substitute to the reg. sticks that you see on cotton candies. This is just mind blowing
3: I'm not really a fan of mullet type skirts or dresses, but this one can be an exemption. I super looove the color, the gold sequined part in the shoulder area. I just loooove it.
4: I LOVE SPARKLY PUMPS. I used a pair of black sparkly ones during my graduation ball.
5: I just find these sooo adorable.
6: A lovely turquoise bib necklace by Kate Spade. (oh that's gonna be pricey, dang.)
7: I never considered dyeing my hair except maybe when I get older and have more white hair strands than black ones. But this hair color really amazes me, only a few people can pull off a hair color like that and she actually nailed it!
8: I just find this idea really cute and adorable. It kinda takes you back to the old times when people used lamps and not flashlights or street lights as their source of light at night. It can also add detail to the room or to a party if you can't think of any more decorations to put on.

So, there you have it. My list of Things I love/ like for this Sunday.
I'm really sorry for the delay. I'll really try to make it up to guys, promise!
Feel free to read this post and my other posts & you can comment if you want, whether it's bad or good. I can take criticisms, don't worry. haha
Well, I hope you guys enjoy reading/ looking at this post.

Love- Matt White

Love- Matt White

This song is one of those "feel good" songs that makes you wanna dance in the rain or swing your heart out or do something that makes you feel good, you know? :)) The first time I heard this song, Aina and I were chilling in the CAT room while waiting for our co-COs to come. I was having a bad morning at that time, so I didn't really feel good at all. But then, when I heard this song, I suddenly smiled then tapped my foot to the beat of the song. After that, I felt happy and if I remember it correctly, I enjoyed my day in school that day all because of this song. :)
So, I hope you guys listen to this song and I hope that the "magic" of this song goes to you guys as well. :)

Let the Wrecking begin!

2 years ago, I was looking at random photos of art journals to get some inspiration for my own planner/ journal. While I was looking at the photos, I came across a  very intriguing looking journal with crazy instructions printed on every page. I got sooo intrigued that I began searching for what that journal is. That journal is called, "Wreck this Journal" by Keri Smith.
Ever since that day, I've been searching high and low for that journal.
AND TODAY, after years of searching, I finally found a copy of that journal neatly stacked up in one of my fave bookstores (Fully Booked). :)
Happy Birthday, my WTJ <3 :") hihi. You shall be wrecked in the succeeding days to come. ;)
One of the silliest instructions I've seen... :)) huhu.

I'm currently in the process of finishing the cover and title page. :) I'm really excited of how my journal will end up. :) hihi. Watch out for the new button coming out, which is "Wrecking Adventures". It's a button dedicated to my "journey" with my WTJ and I'll be plugging-in a couple of inspirations that I used to help me wreck a certain a page or something. :)
Happy WREEEECKING! <3
